ANTECHAMBER explores the use of movement within confined and derelict spaces. It also touches on the psyche of human conditioning, personal fears and visual metaphors we all experience at some point throughout our own lives - how we choose to react to these obstacles and the steps we take to overcome them. The film takes us on a journey through the darkness and into the light.

Everything is not as it seems in The Imagination Museum. Allow us to introduce you to Mildred, Henry and Harriet, three eccentric tour-guides who will bring to life a series of museum artefacts through words and movement. The Imagination Museum has been created in collaboration with writer Anna Selby, with original music by Max Perryment. It will awaken everyone's curiosity and desire to explore the nooks and crannies of the museum space.

Celebrating its eighth year, mapdance is an established exciting company of young dynamic dancers recruited nationally and internationally, performing diverse repertoire by renowned and upcoming contemporary choreographers. This year the company has commissioned new works by choreographers Gary Clarke, Kerry Nicholls and Liz Aggiss.

Following on from their critically acclaimed work Forgetting Natasha, which received a wealth of 5 star reviews, Heather Eddington and poet Anna Selby have once again come together to create a deeply moving piece of dance theatre which challenges its audiences senses by fusing dance, spoken word, digital media and animation. ‘A once thriving village has been gradually removed over the years by the eroding coastline. Now nothing remains apart from one house teetering on the edge. There is an urgency to leave but also a greater need to stay’.

The loss of two of his family members led Jerrel Jackson to consider his sense of identity. 021203 explores his feelings of, frustration, loss, affection and conflict, in an autobiagraphical dance film. 021203 forces Jerrel to finally say goodbye, and confront an experience that has shaped his cultural and emotional identity. It follows his journey of discovery and grief, as he lets go of the memories that have consumed his mind.
